WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED IN YOUR LIFE?
 Recently in my women's circle each of us took a turn to answer the question, "What have you learned in your life?" We wanted it to be off the cuff, so to speak, taking two minutes to share it with one another.
Here is how I replied: All things pass very quickly, the good and the bad--although the bad seems as if it lasts forever when you are in it. Right now things for me are more pressure packed than they have ever been in my life and I'm finding that my spiritual practice is imperative if I want to stay present and out of worry and fear. I'm trying to move with the river of my life instead of against it. While I'm driving around I take the time to notice the hills, sky, light, birds, and people. At night I go out and look at the stars and moon. It keeps me connected with something larger than myself and really comforts me. It was the seventeenth-century philosopher Nicolas Malebranche, who said, "Attention is the natural prayer of the soul." Life is precious and paying attention to nature puts me in touch with that preciousness. (Read More...)

New Dimensions Internet Radio Has A Great First Quarter
New Dimensions Internet Radio (NDIR) continues to be an exciting, encouraging project of New Dimensions Media. The numbers are in for the first three months of 2007 and we are pleased to report the actual number of hours people listened to NDIR exceeded our targeted projection by almost 15%. In round numbers the station was listened to 66,000 times during the quarter. The average listener listened 45 minutes, making the total listening hours nearly 51,000 hours.
It’s also interesting to us to note that the following metropolitan areas were each in the top 10 areas during the quarter: San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles Seattle Atlanta, Chicago, Portland, Denver, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, Orlando, and Washington DC. All are large markets and most are places were New Dimensions is not heard on terrestrial radio. Our international listening audience continues to inspire us. In the first quarter the following countries were all in the top ten list at least once: Japan, Canada, Australia, Korea, United Kingdom, Finland, China, Mexico, Brazil, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, France, and Germany. New Dimensions, including hundreds of our programs from our archives, many of which are classic programs with important leaders in their respective fields; was listened to simultaneously all over the world for free. No terrestrial radio network has ever been able to offer that to our listeners. That is why, as we scramble to restructure New Dimensions, the Internet Radio station is at the center of our plans.
If you have never listened to NDIR, may we encourage you to give it a try. It’s not difficult to connect your computer to speakers, now even simple wireless speaker systems are available quite inexpensively, so that you can listen to New Dimensions while you work around the house. And once that’s set up, you can listen to nearly any radio station anywhere in the world on your computer/radio. Internet radio is like the old shortwave receiver without the static. It can connect you to the world, to music, to talk, to information, to New Dimensions 24 hours a day seven days a week.
